BANGALORE: A day after the election verdict, the initial phase of jubilation at the IIM here has given way to concern because the belief is that a change in government doesn''t necessarily lead to burial of the issue.
The IIM dons are watching political developments with hawk eyes. The mood here can be described as optimistically cautious.
Bringi Dev, professor and IIM-B spokesman for IIM-B, said: "It is an institutional process and doesn''t change if the same government or minister is not there."
"IIM-B chairman and director are, in fact, busy giving final touches to the formation of the negotiation committee.
We are putting forth the dialogue process with the ministry. The chairman and director will soon zero in on members for the negotiating committee. We are neutral until such time as the ministry is formed and the new government expresses its views on the fee-cut issue," he added.
